Real LIFE Advanced Practice
VOICE DIALOGUE, MEDIATION, EMERGENCE & ENERGY
A Seven-Month Journey Expanding Awareness, Deepening Practice, And Enhancing Skills
NOVEMBER 2026 – MAY 2027
THREE-DAY SEMINARS, TEACHING SESSIONS,
AND GROUP PRACTICE CALLS
INFORMATION CALL, MONDAY, OCTOBER 12 at NOON MT
REAL LIFE ADVANCED PRACTICE IS A SEVEN-MONTH DEVELOPMENTAL JOURNEY FOR DEEPENING THE CAPACITIES THAT MATTER MOST IN HOW WE LIVE, WORK, AND RELATE: SELF-AWARENESS, EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE, COMMUNICATION, RESILIENCE, AND MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS.
Building on the learning of Real LIFE Foundations and the interpersonal skills developed through Real LIFE Facilitator Training, this advanced seminar takes the next step: from understanding powerful ideas to embodying them in practice.
Through study, awareness, reflection, and guided practice, you will explore how you can become more flexible in the face of uncertainty, more skillful in relationship, and more capable of responding rather than simply reacting, especially under stress. The emphasis is practical: developing capacities you can bring directly into your home, workplace, community, and everyday life.
Real LIFE Advanced Practice completes the three-year Real LIFE Facilitative Training Certificate, integrating and extending the first two years of learning into a deeper developmental practice.

Emergence and Energy: The Capstone Seminar
May 5–8, 2027 In-person, Salt Lake City, Utah
Salt Lake City, Utah
What if the most powerful outcome of a group isn't something anyone planned — but something that emerges?
Across biology, psychology, and culture, complexity keeps producing the same quiet miracle: simple parts, interacting, giving rise to something greater than the sum of their contributions. Neurons become consciousness. Individual birds become a flock. Individual actions become a movement.
The same force is at work in every room you facilitate — if you know how to see it, and how to make space for it.
This seminar is built on a simple but radical premise: creativity isn't a bonus you hope for in group work. It's a fundamental property of the cosmos itself — dynamic, evolutionary, always unfolding. Our job as facilitators isn't just to support it. It's to expect it.
Over Four Intensive Days, You'll Learn To
- Read the room at a deeper level — spotting the subtle shifts in energy, unexpected spontaneity, and collective breakthroughs that signal emergence in progress
- Build the conditions that invite it — psychological safety, receptive listening, and generative dialogue that let novelty surface instead of staying buried
- Hold space for polarity and difference — treating diverse viewpoints not as friction to manage but as raw material for breakthrough
- Adapt in real time — releasing your agenda when the group's own evolving insight becomes the smarter path forward
- Amplify what's emerging — turning fleeting sparks of collective intelligence into lasting, shared outcomes
Why It Matters
This is the capstone for a reason. It brings together everything you know about facilitation and asks a bigger question: are you merely managing the group — or are you midwifing something the group alone could never have planned?
Walk away with the capacity to recognize emergence when it happens, the skill to cultivate it intentionally, and the ability to integrate it with reliable structures, planning, and clear intentions — bringing greater vitality to the rooms you work with. The seminar will give you the confidence to guide groups toward outcomes that are more innovative, holistic, and alive than planning can produce.
A Clearer Path for Your Development
Over the past several months, Diane and her team have organized Real LIFE Programs into three progressive stages:
Foundations: The essential skills and core concepts that form the backbone of the Real LIFE approach.
Facilitator Program: Training to deepen facilitation skills, guide groups, and support others through the Real LIFE journey.
Advanced Practice: Accelerated growth and mastery for Facilitator Program graduates and other facilitators, coaches, and leaders.
Certification and licensing options are in development for those who wish to incorporate Diane's teachings into their own coaching and leadership practice. While specifics are being finalized, these credentials will be available to those who complete the full
Real LIFE Programs curriculum: Foundations, Facilitator Training, and Advanced Practice.
